The Steamer and Baked Oyster Bar is the newest concept from Eddie Spence and David Cahoon founders of the Shrimp Basket and owners of Mikee’s Seafood. The idea of this cozy restaurant that is just off the beaten path is to provide steamed dishes to those who are looking for a change without giving up the taste. They also boast a selection of the best baked oysters in Gulf Shores.
When you come to The Steamer you will find no fried food in this laid back establishment. Our menu consists of an array of seafood ranging from Royal Reds to Crab Legs and a little bit of everything in between. We didn’t forget the land lovers though, for those who prefer their meal from the field we have chicken and beef just to name a few. For a special treat you can also get Oysters on the Half Shell (Raw), or if you prefer your oysters can be Baked.
The Steamer also has a full bar and a great selection of frozen drinks including Amaretto Orange Blossom, Margarita and don’t forget the Bushwackers. You can enjoy your meal as you relax on our covered deck and watch the beautiful Gulf Shores sunset or in the cool air conditioning inside on those steamy hot L.A. days.
